Alvin Curran is one of the world’s most famous electronic music composers and innovative Sound artists. In the 1960s, he founded the "Musica Elettronica Viva" ensemble which transferred elements of musical improvisation to electronic Music while performing them in real time. Since then, Curran presented and exhibited his works at the most important international festivals around the world, including the Ars Electronica of Linz, the Tate Gallery in London, and the Guggenheim Foundation in New York. He was professor at the Accademia Nazionale d'Arte Drammatica in Rome and "Darius Milhaud Professor for Composition" at Mills College, USA.
